Data Controller
The data controller is the Office of Towarzystwo Elektrowni Wodnych (TEW) — Polish Society for Hydropower Plants, ul. Piaskowa 18, 84-240 Reda, Poland. Contact: biuro@tew.pl.
Data We Collect
During HYDROFORUM conference registration we collect: name and surname, email address, institution or company name, job title, and — optionally — information about a presentation and accommodation preferences.
Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
We process data for the following purposes:
- organising and running the HYDROFORUM conference — legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (necessity for the performance of registration and participation);
- informing previous participants about upcoming conferences — legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of the controller).
Retention Period
We retain data for 5 years from the last conference in which the participant took part. After this period, data are deleted unless archiving or accounting obligations require further retention.
Recipients of Data
Data may be shared with entities supporting conference organisation (IT service providers, accommodation venues) only to the extent necessary for those services.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object (in particular to processing for informational purposes). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl.
